Adding a twist to traditional chicken wings! Today I’m cooking up feta, lemon & garlic wings paired with a whipped feta dressing. This recipe was super easy to make and the Athenos Feta added a creamy, tangy taste to the wings. Their feta is crafted with fresh, simple ingredients — it’s their most popular traditional feta cheese for a reason!

What you’ll need!

For the wings;

3lb chicken wings

6 cloves of garlic

1 lemon

1/2 cup olive oil

1 tbsp black pepper

2 tsp kosher salt

2 tsp dried oregano

2 tsp cayenne pepper

For the whipped feta sauce;

6 oz Athenos Crumbled Traditional Feta Flip Top Container

1/4 cup fresh parsley

2 tbsp fresh dill

4 tbsp water

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp black pepper

THEN;

1.Add the lemon zest and juice to a small bowl. Grate two garlic cloves and crush the other four cloves then place into the bowl. Whisk in salt, pepper, dried oregano and cayenne pepper.

2.Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Toss in the wings into a large bowl then pour in the sauce mixture. Mix everything together with tongs until evenly coated and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

3.After 2 hours, line the wings on baking sheet lined with a wire rack. Place the wings flat on the wire rack and brush with the extra seasoning. Add the wings into a 375 degrees preheated oven and cook for 1 hour. Once it’s been 30 minutes, rotate the tray in the oven.

4.To make the whipped feta, begin by chopping the fresh parsley and dill. In a small food processor, blend the Athenos Crumbled Traditional Feta with water and olive oil until smooth. Pour the whipped feta into a bowl and mix in the fresh herbs. Season with salt, pepper and olive oil as desired.

5.Remove the chicken wings from the oven and plate onto a large serving dish. Garnish with fresh herbs, olive oil and Athenos Crumbled Traditional Feta.
